State Street Ballet, Santa Barbara’s only professional ballet company, presents the world premiere of Dracula, a dark shadow, October 30 and 31 at Santa Barbara’s Granada Theatre.

Created by French choreographer Nicolas Blanc [BLAHNK], this new, full-length ballet reimagines Bram Stoker’s classic story, with a score by Philip Glass performed live onstage by the Grammy-winning Kronos Quartet.

Kronos and Glass previously collaborated on a score for the 1931 film, Dracula. Now, the music returns to the story in a new production featuring the artists of State Street Ballet.
